Gabriella is a biogeochemist currently working in a NASA astrochemistry laboratory to study the information recorded within molecules. Molecules contain clues about their formation and the environmental conditions they have experienced which are useful to environmental and planetary sciences, medical science, food science, archaeology, and many other fields. Gabriella is interested in using this information to understand the background signals of our solar system and the way that life on Earth has altered those signals, as well as how Earth’s water cycle in the oceans and on land has changed throughout time and the influences of this on temperature, vegetation, and human civilization.
